I had been interested in joining a CSA for a few years and was excited to learn about Jacob’s Cove in 2010. Not knowing what we’d be getting in the box each week was a little scary, but every pickup day felt like Christmas. My husband was quickly won over to the idea after tasting some of their tomatoes. I love learning how to cook (and like) all the different foods that I normally never would have tried. I also love the feeling of being invested in how the farm is doing. I have loved getting my bounty box, that is what I call it, each week. I am so glad I joined Jacobs Cove because it has taught me to enjoy fresh, local ingredients. I have my own garden of veggies and herbs but this allows me to support something bigger and of course to enjoy veggies that I would not have had the time or patience or even the space to grow myself.
